Los Angeles Times Holiday Cookie Bake-Off Contest
Terms and Conditions
Contest starts at 6pm (PT) on October 19, 2010 and ends at 5:00 PM (PT) on November 15, 2010 (“Contest Period”). To enter submit your holiday cookie recipe and an essay describing why the submitted recipe is your favorite holiday cookie recipe. Complete the required data fields and, if you wish, send us a photo of your cookies. Contest is open to legal U.S. residents residing in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, or Ventura Counties who are 18 and older at the time of entry. Employees (and the employees’ immediate family members living in the same household) of Los Angeles Times and its advertising companies, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and its promotion contractors, are not eligible to participate. At the close of the Contest Period, the 50 submissions that have received the most votes on www.latimes.com/cookiebakeoff will be chosen as finalists. On or about November 20, 2010, a panel of judges consisting of the Cordon Bleu Baking Team, the Los Angeles Times Food Staff, KCRW’s Evan Kleiman and Spago’s Sherry Yard will cook and test the finalists’ recipes and determine the 10 winners based on essay, cookie taste and recipe accuracy. Winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release. The 10 winners will be featured in the Thursday, December 16, 2010 Food section of the Los Angeles Times, including publication of their recipe and essay.
